Dragons V Tigers

By COVENTRY DRAGONS

This weekend will see Coventry Dragons Face Bedford Tigers.

On Saturday Coventry Dragons warmly welcome Merit league rivals Bedford Tigers in their first home league game. The game will kick off at 2:30pm after Coventry Welsh have warmed up the spectators with their annual “Old Gits” game which see the over 35’s face off against the under 35’s. This game is always fun to watch with banter throughout and kicks off at 1pm if any Dragons fans fancy watching a bit of Union before the real rugby begins get down to the “Cave” early.

Coventry Dragons are still hit with injures, rugby tours and sevens tournaments but feel we have a strong enough side to meet the challenge of the Tigers. We have a few debutants being thrown in the deep end but with a few old league lads steadying the ship it should be plane sailing.

I also feel I should mention the movie “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” and finish this post by saying lets hope the Tigers are crouched deep in their own half as the hidden Dragons slip through their defence to score under the posts. (Maybe this could be used in the write up Ash)

This is quite a coup for the club, with officials travelling all over from the Midlands due to the excellent facilities and hospitality on offer at the Burbages Lane HQ.
