Sphinx Bonfire and Fireworks Night!

On Friday 2nd November we will be putting on one of our biggest events of the year with our annual Bonfire, Fireworks and Halloween event. Those who have attended the event before will know how popular the night is with many of the local community joining us for an evening of entertainment at Sphinx Sports & Social Club.
The Bonfire will be as big as ever and the standard of the Fireworks display will be as exciting as ever with the nationally recognised company “Sirotechnics” taking full control of the display. Sirotechnics are an award winning company who were responsible for last year’s magnificent display so it’s a guaranteed crowd pleaser again. The clubhouse will be hosting the ever popular family friendly Halloween Disco in the function room where fancy dress is positively encouraged! The Function room has its own bar and our other bars will also be open throughout the club. Food will also be in plentiful supply with our in house Sphinx Catering team working hard to stop anyone going hungry!

FIREWORKS: With the Fireworks display being controlled by a professional company you can be assured of an impressive and safe display at Sphinx Drive. The Firework display is scheduled to commence at 8.15pm.
BONFIRE: The Bonfire will be stewarded by volunteers and we ask everyone to follow any requests the stewards make to ensure a safe and fun environment for all. We plan to light the Bonfire at around 7.30pm.
MUSIC: There will be music outside around the viewing area.
HALLOWEEN DISCO: The function room will host this all evening and here you will find a well stocked bar, music and hopefully plenty of frightening outfits!
BAR: There is a bar in the function room and further down the corridor you will find further bars and seating. The bars will be open from 6.30pm.
FOOD: At the outside viewing area you will find our café that will have plenty of hot food and drink available
PARKING: We will be providing parking on site as part of the admission price. Please follow the requests of the car park attendants who will guide you to your parking space.
ADMISSION PRICES: No ticket is required so just pay cash at the gate on arrival at Sphinx Drive. Prices are Adult £6 and Children £3. A family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children will be available for £12 at the gate.
GATES OPEN AT 6.30PM
Our volunteers at the gate will be aiming to keep queues to a minimum and they would greatly appreciate your co-operation. If you can have the correct money ready and follow their directions to the parking area then that will be a great help to our hard working team. You are more than welcome to arrive on foot and pay at the gate if you wish.

DIRECTIONS: Sphinx Drive is situated a short walk from the Binley Road near the Bull Head Pub. Next to the Bulls Head Pub you will see Bull Head Lane. Proceed down Bulls Head Lane and at the junction, turn right to continue on Bulls Head Lane. Then take the second turn on the left into Siddeley Avenue, After 50 yards turn left onto Sphinx Drive and proceed straight on to our main entrance gates that will be directly in front of you.
