We are pleased to confirm we have filled a key role within the first team staff by the appointment of Gianni Sangiorgi as the teams Sports Therapist. Gianni brings good experience to the role and will play an important part in Lee Knibbs back room team.
He is a qualified Sports Therapist which was accredited by Birmingham University. Since qualifying he has had experience working with physiotherapists at the West Bromwich Albion Academy, both in training and pitch side. His most recent post has been as a Technical Instructor at UHCW working on the wards and he has been there for the past two years.
Gianni spoke to us about what has brought him to Coventry Sphinx Football Club and he explained “I have recently decided to go back to University and I am in my first year of Physiotherapy at Coventry University. Football has always been a sport I’ve been keen on and this job arose via Dale Lines who coaches one of the Coventry Sphinx junior teams. Knibbo contacted me and made the whole process easy. Sharon, Knibbo, Shaun, Bully and all the lads have made it easy for me to do my job and they have made me feel very welcome at the club.”
We’re delighted to have a skilled Sports Therapist on board. We welcome Gianni to the club and we hope he enjoys his time with us.
