On Thursday the Coventry Sphinx Under 18s continue their league campaign with an away match in Tamworth. The two sides have already met twice this season with one win apiece. The first match saw Coton Green edge a 7 goal thriller at Sphinx Drive to progress in the FA Youth Cup. The league match went in the favour of Sphinx with a 2-0 win at Sphinx Drive taking the points.
Coventry Sphinx are currently 4th in their division with Coton Green sitting in 7th place. If the previous two matches between the sides are anything to go by then we’re in for an entertaining 90 minutes in Tamworth. In their last match, Sphinx Youth were in fine form with a 5-3 victory against Nottingham on home soil. Striker Dan Kelly was the star of the show with all 5 goals including a hat-trick inside the first 16 minutes.
The next home fixture for the Sphinx Youth will be on Thursday 8th November when they welcome Malvern Town for a League Cup tie at Sphinx Drive.
