Town started without the influential midfield man Confue in Midfield but still ended up victorious in this bottom of the table clash. Fleet had drawn 3 games recently but had to withstand a dominant Town for 30 minutes where Town scored through Robinson after Fleets defence allowed an easy tap in. Prior to that Town had 4 chances the best of which Hicks just hit narrowly wide. Marcel Simpson was playing well at the back with Burgess and Parkinson, and Fleet didnt really trouble town until the final 10 minutes of the half. Vicente Danilson looked a danger whenever he had the ball and alongside Taylor looked a threat. Fleet hit the bar and gave Town a few torrid moments.
Second half Town from the start were the better team again and added a second when Forinton met a cross with his head and placed it past Price.
Town looked strong but it was Fleet that hit back when Danilson scored the goal of the game with a mazy run and shot that flew past Mellings. Town still controlled posession and it was one of the most pleasing things for me,and on the 80th minute Forinton made it 3-1 after some great work from Berwick.
Town deserved their win..
Comon the Town.
