On a warm still afternoon at Rhewl the young Reserves team played some great football throughout the game to come out 2-1 winners against a competitive Rhydymwyn Reserves team. They found themselves down 1-0 after a soft foul on the edge of their penalty area. From the free kick the Rhydymwyn striker scored direct from the kick. It was not until the 75th minute that their endeavours were rewarded. A great ball into the Rhydymwyn box was met by Denbigh’s Will Humphries who finished well. In the last few minutes the team grew in confidence and they got the winner when Joel Poh got his first goal for the Club with a close range finish This was a well deserved win for the team against a strong Rhydymwyn team that included four first teamers The Reserves next friendly is Friday 20th July when they entertain Ruthin Reserves at Central Park – kick off 7.30pm
