Two New Signings Funded by 12th Man Scheme

By Neil Cole

Dulwich Hamlet have this week bolstered their squad for the season run-in, with help from the club's fan-funded 12th Man Scheme.

Striker Omar Koroma has re-joined the club, on loan from National League side Wealdstone where he has made 19 appearances this season. Koroma is a Gambian international with 4 caps to his name, who spent a number of years at Portsmouth earlier in his career. This will be Koroma's second spell at Dulwich Hamlet, after making 7 appearances for us in the 2014/15 season. He also trained with the squad in pre-season last summer, impressing in several friendly matches before eventually signing for Wealdstone.

The second signing of the week sees the return of popular goalkeeper Phil Wilson, who made over 200 first team appearances for Dulwich Hamlet between 2011 and 2016. Phil left us last summer and joined Merstham where he was a first team regular for much of the season, including playing in a memorable televised FA Cup 1st Round match against his boyhood team Oxford United. Phil re-joins to provide valuable cover for Preston Edwards for the remaining weeks of the season.

Both signings have been funded by the Dulwich Hamlet 12th Man Scheme, a fan-led initiative to raise extra money for the playing budget. Fans have been contributing to the Scheme all season, which has a stand just inside the turnstiles at every home game. The donations have really added up, and now some of those funds are being used on these valuable additions to the first team squad as Hamlet push towards the play-offs.

You can help contribute to the 12th Man Scheme by visiting the stand at any of our remaining home games, and making a cash donation to the 'bucket' or through buying any of the items available at the stand, all of which have been donated by other fans.
