LIAM NASH READY TO STEP UP

New signing Liam Nash,18, who has been officially confirmed as signing a contract with the Blues this week talks to us about his excitement of joining in Craig Edwards' side and what we can expect from the young striker.

"My experience at Hullbridge was very memorable and a great time for me personally, but now it is the time for me to step up and play at a higher level and I am very excited that it is Billericay Town who is to be that club!".

The ex 'Sports' forward Nash had to say, "I am very pleased to have signed for Billericay Town and very excited to play further games in the future here". Nash came off the bench in last Monday's 8-2 win over Great Wakering Rovers and looked very lively, hitting the crossbar before scoring from close range on his debut.

Nash was unavailable for the Blues FA Cup clash with Weymouth at the weekend due to being cup-tied after appearing in the competition for Hullbridge. However, the signing of Nash comes as great news to the club and more importantly has penned a contract with the club as he has proved over the last 12 months to be one of most exciting prospects in the Essex Senior League.

Young Nash was very modest when questioned about signing for the Blues, "It came to me as quiet a shock when I was asked to sign for the blues, but I have wanted to make the step up for quiet some time and I now have that opportunity here at Billericay, and I am very grateful for it".

Nash was very much respected at his former club Hullbridge with 'Sports' co-manager Mark Bliss only full of praise for the young striker and wishes him the very best at his new found club. Nash was part of the side that last season won the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy where the young hotshot hit 19 goals in just 28 games (in all competitions).

The striker who's dad runs his former employers under 18s youth side left the 'Sports' second place in the Essex Senior League with already 12 goals to his name this campaign and not to mention a memorable 'sending off' hat- trick against Takeley, and the forward wants to continue his impressive goal return here at New Lodge, "I have an eye for goal, and as it seems the fans aren't getting the pleasure of this quiet at the moment so I am hoping to bring this to the fore in the near future".

And the new Blues striker has been confirmed as signing a contract with the club, putting pen to paper on Saturday!
