NEW signing Danny Walder has insisted competition for places will boost Faversham Town's promotion hopes.

Midfielder Danny - one of five new signings by boss Ray Turner - said he was ready to fight for a spot in the team after making the switch from Herne Bay.
He reckons the club is ready for another promotion push now that it has a bigger squad to cope with the demands of the long season.
Speaking in his first video interview since joining, Danny said: "I think it's healthy. Competition is healthy in football.
"If there are good players in the squad, it means that everybody has got to fight for their position, so I think it will be good for us."
When asked what fans could expect from him, Danny joked: "I kick it out of play quit a lot."
