He had joined the Wellmen late in the close season, and had featured in their opening seven games, including the two derby games against ourselves, scoring in the league encounter. He is a physical centre forward who holds the ball up well, has clever movement off the ball, and boasts a very good scoring record at Cymru Alliance level.
Damien has also played for Holyhead Hotspur and Prestatyn Town, scoring plenty of goals for both clubs. Last season, when featuring in the Welsh Premier for the Seasiders , he was hampered by suffering early season injuries, although he did manage to break back into the squad towards the latter stages of the season.
Flint boss Niall McGuinness said he was delighted to bring the player to the club, adding "Damo is a player I've followed closely over the last few seasons, and it's nice to finally be able to work with him, as I know what ability and tremendous potential he has. I would also like to thank Holywell Town for their assistance in facilitating the transfer"
Ketley will be added to the squad for this weekend's League Cup match against Holyhead, and so may well be selected to face his former club. Welcome to Cae Y Castell, Damo !
