Adam Stevens named the same side that beat Coalville on Tuesday night, meaning again Sam Purcicoe was the eldest player at 25.
The Gingerbreads started in typical fashion but found out why Buxton had the 2nd best home record in the league, as had to counter against the Buxton long balls.
On 17 minutes, The Gingerbreads should have been in front. A well worked corner, saw Stefan Galinski head the ball back across goal towards Michael Hollingsworth who headed over from yards out. This prompted a lonely Buxton fan to suggest to the travelling support that they'd only come for the pies.
The rest of the half was a very end to end affair but no one could capitalise, Buxton also missed an open goal.
The second half saw The Gingerbreads kicking down the slope and again seemed to kick on a gear. However there was no way through.
Then came a mistake at the back from Buxton, and Lee Shaw capitalised to give The Gingerbreads a 76th minute lead!!
From there The Gingerbreads dominated the play and controlled the match.
The final whistle was the queue for wild celebrations between the supporters and players. The win moves The Gingerbreads up-to 5th on goal difference, with Workington having a game in hand in 6th.
Everyone get to Corby on Monday as the play off dream continues!
