Game Management System (GMS), ATTN: Team Managers/Admins, Coaches and Club Officials

By John Irvine

RFU Game Management System (GMS) Training on Mon 28th January 2019, 7pm to 9:30pm at the Clubhouse. Maximum attendance is important.

ATTN: Team & Age Group Admins, Team Managers, Coaches and Club Officials.

This is an important message affecting the Club's RFU Accreditation and requires the attention of all those involved with the management of teams of all ages in particular the registration of Players and (for Youth and Mini) their parents. As a measure of its' importance the Club recently had its' RFU Accreditation suspended (since reinstated) due to non-compliance with the requirement to maintain up to date records in the GMS.

The RFU's Game Management System is used to register players, transfer players, schedule matches and publish match cards amongst many other things. Use of the system is being expanded and mandated by the RFU so it is important for all Admins, Team and Age Group coaches and Club Officials to be familiar with its use.

A training session has been arranged for Monday 30th January, 7pm to 9:30pm at the clubhouse. This session, hosted by an RFU trainer, will provide an overview of the GMS with an in depth look at the team management module of the GMS. All Team/Age Group Admins, Head Coaches and Club Officials with Membership and Match responsibilities should attend. Please confirm your attendance here: https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/hertfordrugbyfootballclub/calendar/event/gms-training-for-team-admins-coaches-and-club-offi-415022

In future seasons, all member and player details MUST be held in the GMS. Individual members will have their own login to the GMS through which they can maintain their own details and, with the club's permission, make membership payments. The GMS will allow direct emailing to teams and parents. The club newsletter will be sent from the GMS. In short, use of the GMS can reduce the admin workload on the club and on individual team managers and admins. For coaches, the GMS allows for team management including team selection and notifications. The GMS is also where Coaching qualifications and records are held.

Full adoption of the GMS is required if the club is to retain its' RFU Accreditation so attendance at this training session is important. Thank you!
