Clevedon Edge Out Ciren - Poole Held

....after a 1-1 draw at Bishops Cleeve in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West on Wednesday night.

The striker, who has been dual registered by the Dolphins with Blue Square Bet South neighbours Dorchester Town, levelled with a powerful header in the 57th minute - just 5 minutes after top scorer Carl Brown had opened the scoring for Cleeve.

In the other game played on Wednesday, fifth-placed Cirencester Town missed the chance to put pressure on those above them after going down to a 3-2 defeat at the Hand Stadium against Clevedon Town.

The experienced Scott Murray put Clevedon ahead just before half-time, only for Scott Griffin to level 5 minutes after the break.

Sam Teale restored the Seasiders` lead 2 minutes later and then Murray grabbed his second and the home side`s third with 8 minutes remaining.

Sam Packer netted an injury-time second for Ciren, but it was only a consolation in the end and Clevedon moved into eighth place as a result of this victory.
