Park were keen to avenge last weeks defeat at the hands of today’s opponents but, sadly it wasn’t to be. Once more Siddal had the luxury of extra players and they used it to their advantage. Siddal scored in their first set of six but Park regrouped and pulled of some great tackles to hold Siddal back. Park couldn’t take advantage of possession and knocked on close to the line. Then despite a signature tackle by Mackenzie Bradwell Siddal scored their second. But Park battled on and good runs from George Standring and Luke Goodall took the ball close, Bradwell kicked the ball high and the Siddal player did well to catch it before he was brought down by a fantastic tackle by Charlie MacParland. Park regained control of the ball after the home team knocked on close to scoring. Park gained further ground after Oliver Wilson was felled by a high tackle but were brought into touch. Siddal were then brought down by Lewis Colbeck stopping a player twice his size dead in his tracks. But Siddal were merciless and ran in three more tries before the half time whistle. The second half started with a serious lack of discipline by both teams. Punches were traded after Charlie MacParland was brought down by a high tackle and the rivalry between the teams boiled over and a Park player was given time in the sin-bin. With the ref doing well to regain control of the game Siddal took advantage and scored twice. But Park continued to play with the commitment and dedication that is fast becoming their trademark. With Louis Marlow relishing his new role at half-back he passed the ball out wide to Kallan Jamieson who ran square at the defence before passing out to Goodall who was brought down and needed to be taken off the field. Once more Siddal scored but Park held their heads high and battled on. Marlow ran with the ball passing to Wilson who off loaded to Sam Whitehead. With Bradwell launching the ball high Siddal knocked on and Ryan Bailey pounced on the loose ball passing out to Kien Mather who scampered to the line to the applause of the visiting supporters. But it was Siddal who had the last word with a late try.

Coaches award Mackenzie Bradwell and Charlie MacParland.
Top Tackler George Standring.
