Lasswade & Murrayfield Wanderers @ Livingston 18th March 2012.

Lasswade travelled to Livingston today for games against Livingston and Murrayfield.

Their first game against Murrayfield started out well. Both teams played good rugby and Cameron Dempster played extremely fast paced rugby, scoring 3 brilliant tries. Euan Hardman was also a star and scored 3 tries, being set up by Daniel Sutherland and Fraser Pearson. Daniel Shanks scored a try and the final score was Lasswade 7 - Murrayfield 4.

Livingston played a great second game in which both sides played brilliantly despite a very "trying" referee. Daniel Shanks scored 2 tries, Euan Hardman and Daniel Sutherland scored a try each - Lasswade 4 - Livingston 1. Daniel Crabbe twice ran from one side of the pitch to the other but was just beaten by the opposition to score a try. Tony played some good rugby and helped set up a couple of tries. Euan was unstoppable at one point moving 3 or 4 opposition players at least 10 yards up the pitch. Kami made a couple of tackles and she did amazingly well - you can do it Kami!!!

All the boys and girls involved today played brilliantly despite a bit of a strop from Daniel S in the second game against Livingston. After a bit time out, he joined his team and they won their game.

Livingston players, Murrayfield players and Lasswade players were on the whole well behaved and played with great sportsmanship. It is a pity that some adults invovled cannot show the same - after all most of the boys involved today were 10, 11 and 12 years old and look to "grown ups" for guidance!
