Very Many Thanks ......
......to the 4 musicians and 8 dancers who turned out for the Mid-Lancs Ramblers’ AGM at Broughton Club on Saturday, 27th January. Two hours to fill could have been quite a daunting challenge; however, they were such a co-operative crowd – and very friendly too – that we managed it without any problem. They were willing to have a go at all manner of things.

Programme 2018
Swansea Terrace down by Preston Docks would like us to make a return visit one afternoon in the week beginning 19th March. Names to Mike a.s.a.p. please.
Monday, 7th May, we’re invited to Scorton again. (Mike has declined a visit to Huntley’s on the same date and Knutsford May Day on 5th May)
Saturday, 23rd June, we’re invited to Lytham Club Day again.
Saturday, 14th July, we’re invited to Knott End Gala (but we could manage fine without the 3 mile procession!!)
As you’ll gather, organisers of events are springing into action now that Christmas is over.
Odds & Ends
1. It was a treat to have Steve come along last Monday, to have a look at what we do. Let’s hope we made a favourable impression.
2. Notable dates: tomorrow’s Shrove Tuesday – pancakes, Old English Football matches and the like. This is followed by Ash Wednesday which, this year, is also St Valentine’s Day. The Chinese New Year celebrations begin on Friday for 3 days and Sunday is the first Sunday of Lent. Fair Trade Fortnight begins on Monday, 26th. 1st March is St David’s Day and 2nd is Women’s World Day of Prayer.
