Programme 2018
Apologies for the unforeseen circumstances which overtook the booking for Saturday 26th May. This was due to Steve Bonnet, our musician for the morning, having fallen in the shower while in London. Nothing broken but his shoulder was very sore and he could neither drive nor play. Time permitting Mike has offered for us to go and visit the Leyland Heritage Centre at some other time.
We sincerely hope that Steve is beginning to get over his accident.
If you believe all that appears in the Leyland Guardian or its associated Lancashire Post, we DID actually dance in Leyland on that date. Sheer genius on our part – or sheer incompetence on the part of the newspapers?

We’re not yet committed to any bookings over the next three months but there are jobs to be done at the Guide Hut, including clearing away rubbish – which might be best done during daytime, when it can be taken straight off to the tip. To be discussed at tonight’s practice.

Looking to events for which we’ve had invitations: Mike was circulating everyone with a new availability sheet. We presume you’ve had yours and have already responded. If not then please do so a.s.a.p.

Odds & Ends
1. Many thanks to Malcolm who very promptly loaned Geoffrey his copy of both book and video of ‘Will It Be Fine, Do You Think?’
2. It was encouraging to have young Mark with us at our previous practice session as well as Geoffrey.
3. A few up-coming events of note: Sat.9th – Trooping the Colour; Sun.17th – Father’s Day; Mon.18th – Refugee Week begins; Tues.19th – Royal Ascot begins; Thurs.21st – Summer Solstice; Sun.24th – Midsummer Day; Sat.30th – Armed Forces Day.
