Under 9s (Hfx) debut 5 against Fields

Lightcliffe u9s 150-3 lost to Northowram Fields 216-3 by 66 runs Sunday 1st July 2018 Halifax Junior Cricket League Under 9s

Lightcliffe’s inexperienced Under 9s side all had fun and let no one down in their latest match against neighbours Northowram.

5 of the visitors' players scored freely, whilst with half the home side on debut, it was good to see Jack Cowling and Thomas Swinhoe take wickets for Lightcliffe.

Teddie Stead , Milo Hives and Will Sweeten were all young under age players experiencing the game for the first time, whilst Jacob and Thomas Wood and Tom Bancroft all set good examples in the field.

With the bat Richard Buckland led the way with a top score of 17 whilst Luke Barrowcliffe hit 11 to ensure Lightcliffe finished the match strongly.
