Bradford Junior Cricket League Under 13s Peel Division

Lightcliffe’s Bradford under 13s returned to winning ways in their visit to Bowling Old Lane.

The team had a distinctly young flavour to the side, as due to holidays, Under 11s Finn Brookes, Barlow twins Lewis and Callum, as well as Under 9s Isaac Morley and Dylan Crossley made up over half the team.

Toby Morley again led from the front and along with Sam Carrick (promoted to open) both batted well to retire on 30s.
Ben Ward, as usual, wasted no time in emulating his colleagues with his 30 contribution to boost Lightcliffe’s score.

Curtis Taylor then outdid this effort crashing 22 runs in only 7 balls as, along with Tom Shaw’s 10, the side built an unassailable total.

The home side were never up to the task, and it gave opportunity to see some new faces mixed in with the regulars.

Wickets came for Dylan Hill, Callum Barlow (2), Isaac Morley, Taylor, Carrick and Ward (2) in a performance of 6 catches and a stumping for Brookes.
