SEVEN GOAL THRILLER

By

The scoreline doesn't tell the whole story although it should paint the picture of a terrific game of football and a gutsy show from United.

With the home side in the play-off race stand-in Manager, Darren Dye was faced with late changes as three late withdrawals meant he lost Aaron Rice and Andy Hutchinson and Luke Shipman.

Undaunted he and the lads set about theor task and adversity reared it's head all afternoon, albeit self-inflicted in some ways.

Having gone behind early on via a Luke Edwards 11th minute goal, Stuart Reddington was adjudged to have elbowed and the resulting free kick saw Craig Millington restore a lead that had been cancelled out by Stuart King's 21st minute equaliser.

Over an hour of the game to play United battled on playing some good football along with their determined play.

They looked beaten when Stuart King's second yellow card saw him dismissed and was quickly followed by Mark Danks makine it 3-1.

United's nine men played out of their skins and Josh Raby reduced arrears in the 75th minute before Simon Mowbray levelled things up in the 88th minute.

Moments later Mowbray might have won it for United as he went clean through.

The real adversity came in added time when a brave United effort was put to bed by Daryl Taylor's winner.
