Long Eaton Rugby celebrated their fifth league bonus point win in a row on Saturday, after beating 4th in the Midlands 2 East (North) league, Dronfield 22-14 at home.
Long Eaton were out in top form, dominating possession throughout the fast-paced match. The side scored four tries in total; one from Sam Humphries and a fantastic hat-trick from Winger, Ben Milton. Dronfield were a tough match, scoring and converting once in the first half and once in the second.
Man of the Match was awarded to Jack Weedon for his strong, physical performance. He said: “It was a quality game and a great win. Everyone bonded together well and the pace was good. We massively stepped up to the mark and dominated the tackling, carrying and breakdown against a really strong team.”
Long Eaton’s 2nd XV also won their match at West Park against Ilkeston, 54-7.
The side take on Ilkeston away in the National Cup this Friday 23rd November.
