Winning is nice. Support from the sidelines makes it even sweeter.

“"Improve your fitness and be part of a wonderful extended family filled with diverse fabulous people! "” Glyn - 3rd XV Manchester Village Spartans player

As a founder member of the IGR (International Gay Rugby) and one of the worlds' first gay and inclusive rugby clubs, we make sure that The Manchester Village Spartans attend the huge international tournaments held around the world including the Bingham Cup (The 'gay rugby world cup' named after USA 9/11 hero, Mark Bingham) and the European equivalent, The Union Cup.

In this video, Sean from our 3rd XV talks about his magical last game of the Union Cup in Madrid in 2017 for the Spartans.

Emotions ran high as for the first time in the weekend, Madrid's weather actually looked like Spanish weather; the clouds shifted and the team pulled together to obtain a winners medal from the tournament - with outstanding support from the sidelines from the 1xv and 2xv teams and our club supporters who'd all travelled to Madrid.
