MSA RACE NIGHT A RUN AWAY SUCCESS

...When all monies from the sale of race cards prior to the evening have been collected in and added to the money raised on the evening itself from ticket and tote sales, the raffle and the auction race a grand total of £1010 will have been raised for the MSA. In addition to this amount, the MSA made a donation of £135 to the Sefton Women and Children's Aid Charity on the night.

The monies raised will enable the MSA to continue to run coaches to away games at discounted prices making travel to away games more affordable to all. It allows the MSA to make regular donations to our club to assist in it's running costs.

Thanks also to all who bought owners. jockeys and trainers on our race cards, contributed to the raffle, attended the event and all who helped on the evening. Special thanks to Peter McCormack who compered the evening and Barry Godfrey and Paul Eustace who ran our tote. Tim Burgess deserves a mention in dispatches too. He missed the winning and only goal in our fantastic win over FC United ensuring that the DVD was correctly set up (not as simple as it sounds) in readiness for the evening and he also sold the better part of two and a half race cards on the day prior to the the race night starting.
