..........Jock was Chairman of this football club throughout the ‘80’s and ‘90’s and indeed Club President up to the current time.
For those who knew Jock, and there are many, will remember him as a great character who spoke his mind, but always with humour. The teams of that period played as hard off the field as they did on it and Jock played his full part in everything that is good about this football club.
Jock was part of the bedrock on which Marlow United Football Club was built, believing very much in the ‘Brian Clough’ way of things. His memory will be forever enshrined in the history of the club and Jock will always be fondly remembered.
Our thoughts go out to his family…………………….RIP Jock and God bless.
The squad along with today's pre-season opponents Chalvey Sports paid tribute to Jock with a minutes silence prior to kick off.
Jock would have been impressed by a solid performance that saw yet another Liam Bushay hat trick as United came out on top 6-0.
Next pre-season fixture up for the blues is Wokingham & Emmbrook on Wednesday evening followed by an 'away' trip against Marlow on Saturday.
