STELLOR up and running at Poynton

A hard fought lower scoring victory as the boys settle into the team

The new season started with a win for the combined team of Stellor. The boys looked confident and in control and never looked likely to lose the game. In particular the defence looks big and strong this season. With a little more confidence in midfield and a little more ambition up front this team should do well this year. Sam Griffiths and Luke McCrone scored in the first quarter and Ben Tipping added to that score to make it 1-3 at halftime. Drew Bickerton scored in the third and Sam Griffiths scored a fine solo effort in the fourth quarter. This team look like they do with playing a few more games to get used to playing with each other but they will definitely have a good season after this confident start. Q1 0-2, Q2 1-3, Q3 1-4, Q4 3-5
