Bottom of the league side Staines Town had a short journey to Imber court for this local derby in this league fixture.
There was a very early chance for Staines as Gogo played George Barker through after Chislet lost possession. Barker was unlucky to score as his shot clattered the inside of the bar.
It was just over the half an hour mark when Robertson received it wide and took it into the box before it was pulled back to Mazzone who buried it in the bottom left corner.
Blues continued to play football and pass the ball well but didn't really create anything.
Half time: Met police 1-0 Staines Town
Chislet had a good chance to double the blues lead after he was put through however, his chipped shot creeped over the bar. Not the best performance from the blues today.
Blues doubled their about 10 minutes to go, it came from Hippolytes long pass from the right that was received by Knight who then put it well beyond Dixon from inside the box.
The visitors in the end put on a good performance but blues took all three points.
