Impressive semi-final victory

Match reporting proved difficult in blizzard like conditions so I apologise for lack of depth this week . However , having said that , the OLs colts lit up the dismal weather conditions with a fantastic display of rugby union . OLs were quickly on the board following an Ollie Craig try and conversion from Will Davies - this was a cracking pick and go forwards try which left OC s on their heals and not knowing quite what hit them , 0-7 to OLs . The rest of the first half remained very combative as both sides wrestled for the advantage but again it was OLs on the score sheet with a Will Davies penalty just before the half time whistle - 0-10 to OLs .
The second half proved to be just as fierce as this first with the referee having to intervene for several 'handbag' incidents . Yet again it was OLs who kept their cool with a perfectly weighted grubber from Alex Witchell which saw Callum Semple follow up and beat the OCs defence to score in the corner , 0-18 to OLs . Back came OCs as OLs dropped off a few tackles thinking the game was already won , 5-18 . With ten minutes to go OCs look to try and counter but spill the ball in the backs - Alex Witchell hacks through and wins the foot race to score out wide - 5-23 to OLs and game over !
The Warwickshire Colts cup final will be played against Stratford RFC at The Butts stadium , Coventry Monday 9th April at 7pm .
