New Signing: Emile Sinclair Signs On

Ossett Town have signed Emile Sinclair and he will be available for selection for tomorrow’s home Evo-Stik North game with Bamber Bridge.

Sinclair started the season with Scarborough Athletic where he scored four goals and had six assists from five starts but left earlier this month. The forward started his career at Nottingham Forest where he made fifteen appearances.

A successful period at Macclesfield Town followed before being bought by Peterborough United. 13 goals in 47 appearances convinced League One Side Crawley Town to pay £100,000 to take him to the checkatrade.com stadium.

In 2014 he signed for Northampton Town, winning the player of the month award. A Spell at York City followed, then in League Two before moving into Non-League. He started this season at The Flamingo Land Stadium before today signing for Ossett Town.

Sinclair was impressed with Ossett Town when Scarborough visited in August, saying “I though Ossett Town were unlucky not to get anything out of that game, the side played good football and created a lot of chances, something as a striker you can only ask for”.

“From what I saw at that game, and from speaking to other people in the game, I believe a minimum requirement from this season would be a play-off place. As for myself I am keen to get back to playing. I had a couple of injuries now I want to have a good, consistent season of regular games and scoring regularly. I am keen to start enjoying my football again”.

The news of the signing is sure to excite the club supporters, Sinclair is keen to impress them “the fans can expect to see me do the basics, hard work and commitment every game as well as direct, attacking play with lots of pace, power and flair”.

Town manager Grant Black is delighted to get Sinclair signed “as soon as I heard he was available I was keen to see about his availability. He will add quality to the squad and competition for places too”.

Ossett Town host Bamber Bridge at Ingfield tomorrow, kick-off 3pm
