Injury blow for Parkgate’s Gaffer
Parkgate manager Billy Fox has suffered a serious injury –a ruptured Achilles - which is likely to impact on the Green Lane Manager for the rest of the season.
Foxy had time to see the funny side, telling Colin Muncie at the Club Website “Parkgate’s best player last night ruptured his Achilles tendon after skipping past three defenders. He was about to dispatch the ball in to the top corner of the net when disaster struck with a full tear of his tendon -making him fall as quick as the Sheffield gas towers. He will be out for the rest of the season”.
Seriously, however; everyone at Roundwood wishes Foxy a speedy recovery.
