Sad news.....

We were saddened to hear of the death of Percy Main Cricket club groundsman Fred Godson, who passed away after a short illness recently.

Fred had been associated with the club for around 60 years and had fulfilled a variety of roles, but was most at home (and probably best known) sporting his blue boiler suit as he diligently carried out his duties around the ground.

He'd often pop in for a Bovril from time to time and wasn't averse to helping us out either.

A true gentleman, who will be a great loss to PMCC, thoughts with his family and friends at this sad time.....
