We've Done It! Clubhouse Deal Completed Today

By Johnston Craig

After years of very hard work, the deal to purchase Prestongrange Clubrooms was completed today. Once again PLRFC has a home to call our own . . .

It's taken a while and it hasn't always been a smooth journey but due to immense efforts by Archie McEwan, Steve Suttie, Bob Howie, Shona Brash and many others over the past four years or so, Preston Lodge RFC today completed the purchase of the old Prestongrage Clubrooms which in due course will become our new home.

There's still some work to be done to spruce it up a bit and get it fully fit for purpose and there's the recently acquired gym equipment that needs setting up so that our long held dream of having our own strength and conditioning centre will be realised but the first, major step has been taken and we can all look forward to some exciting times ahead.

We'll let everyone know as soon as possible as to when the doors will be open and we'll definitely be looking for volunteers with paintbrushes and cleaning cloths but for now we're still at home at The Goth and normal service will continue there tomorrow.

In the meantime, let's all give ourselves a pat on the back and a round of applause as we take a giant step into the future.
The future's bright, the future's Black, Maroon and White!!
Let's go Team PL!
