Wrens at home in Cup and Vase

By Gordon Foster

RAINWORTH MW have been handed home draws in the first stage of both the FA Cup and the FA Vase.

In the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup the Wrens will entertain Dunkirk, who won promotion as champions of the East Midlands Counties League last season to the Midland League Premier Division.
The prize for the winners could be an away tie at near neighbours and Evo-Stik League Division One East newcomers AFC Mansfield, should the Bulls progress at Midland League Kirby Muxloe.
It's another home local derby in the First Qualifying Round of the Vase, when Teversal, who last season pushed Dunkirk hard for the EMCL title, will visit Kirklington Road. The winners will also face EMCL opposition in the second qualifying round, away to either Clifton All Whites or Belper United.
