Paul McNally's Litherland REMYCA were held to a 1-1 draw at home to a resilient Nelson side.
Paul Foy handed REMYCA the lead inside 18 minutes, tucking home his fifth of the season.
They were ahead for just two minutes as Nelson capitalised on a short clearance and levelled.
With minutes left, Nelson almost won the game when a counter attack caught REMYCA short at the back.
The ball was whipped across goal but the away side failed to convert their opportunity to take all three points.
McNally's side pushed to grab a winner late on, with the best chance falling to captain Stephen King, but the centre half fired over the bar.
REMYCA missed a chance to gain ground on league leaders Silsden ahead of Saturday's clash between the two at Litherland Sports Park.
