The Mackay Stingers beat the Rockhamapton Brahmans 27-5 for the first time in time 10 years. Mackay was captained by Slade Points own Shaun Tucker, who also scored a try in the win. Brennan Long, Jake Adams and Ryan Lawson also played for the open team, whilst Adams, Nick Garland, Kaden Pugh and Brodie Klinger all played for the Mackay Under 19 side, who also beat Rockhampton.
