South "Total Rugby" School

Paul Westgate will head up a team of coaches in what promises to be a great Summer of Rugby at South

Paul is an Elite RFU Level 5 Rugby Coach. Paul was Head Coach of England Students XV between 2008 and 2012 and was previously Head Coach of England Universities 2004-7 and also Head Coach of the England Counties XV that toured and played Canada, Argentina, Uruguay and France between 2004 and 2006. Paul was also Assistant Coach to the England U21A and U17 Development Squads.

During the season 2005/6 he was also Assistant Coach to Spain helping them to gain promotion to the Six Nations B Tournament and was the full-time Head Coach of Loughborough Students who won back to back BUSA Championships in 2005 and 2006.

In Paul`s spare time he is a qualified RFU Trainer, Coach Educator and Mentor that also helps run RFU Coaching courses and CPD courses, and regularly presents at Rugby Coaching Conferences and Seminars. In January 2012 he was named RFU Coach Educator of the Year at the RFU National Awards for Coaching Excellence and has also been invited to join the RFU Technical Advisory Group for Coaching. Paul finished his playing career with Exeter RFC (now Exeter Chiefs) in 1995 and was then Head Coach until 1999, helping them to win back to back National League Championships.

Paul joined South Leicester in 2014 as part of the senior coaching team. South 1st xv play in National 2 North
