Match Report V Loughborough College Academy
Last week saw the academy take on Loughborough football college academy in the British college league, the academy were looking to build on the great 6-1 victory they achieved over Corby town football academy the week before.
Game battle of midfield Joe & Elliott winning a lot of 2nd balls. Jack & Callum producing overlapping runs to cause problems for Loughborough full backs.
Jordan with 1st chance a great chip over the keeper saw his effort rattle the crossbar
NCSA kept pressing & rewarded with a great goal from Jordan brown, 1 soon became 2 with Jordan brown doubling his own tally and the teams
Loughborough change in formation to get back into game created more chances for NCSA through Joe Hussey and Elliott just firing wide
Jamie Scott then added a neat finish to secure the game, Loughborough pulled a goal back which their attacking play and efforts deserved but NCSA with Liam and harry commanding the back 4 stood strong to see out a 3-1 victory

Match Report V Derby Football Academy
New college Stamford entertained league leader Derby on Wednesday and went into the game full of confidence after 3 straight wins
The game was of high tempo and pressing with derby on the front foot Keenan in goal was called into action on a number of occasions in the 1st 15mins, and the back 4 staying solid, so that NCSA could get a foot hold in the game, which Reece in midfield was picking up a lot of 2nd ball and driving at the derby defence to free up Jamie and Aaron
In the 20th minute a great cross from Aaron out wide lead to Derby defending passing ball back to keeper who picked it up, free kick awarded, Jamie rolled the ball to Joe who slotted it into bottom left corner
Derby response was frantic and again Jack Fryett covering round well to stop the attacks, pressure soon paid off with a ball over the top which could have been dealt better with but a fantastic finish from debt striker lifting ball on the bounce over Keenan
Half time 1-1 teams went out to a strong wind in 2nd half that was with NCSA, the game was a battle of midfield and trying to create chances, Callum was offering good overlap runs and with Daniel now on up top he was dropping into receive the ball and drive at the derby defence
NCSA scored the 2nd goal with Daniel releasing Reece who timed his run to perfection and smashed it past keeper into roof of net
15mins left and Derby were pressing with now 3 up top, cross after cross into NCSA penalty box, with Liam and Harry Peasgood winning aerial battles and Lewis and Elliott hooking ball on from edge of box, Kieran Bonsall doing very well to help hold ball up and win free kicks and also to chase ball into the channels to earn NCSA much needed throw in's and corners to relieve the pressure
NCSA withstood the Derby pressure and recorded 4 straight wins in a row and unbeaten in 5 games, progression and development of the players is now showing in results on the pitch
