Swaffham Town v Team Bury- Preview- Thurlow Nunn League First Division- Tuesday 10th October 2017- Kickoff 19:45

How do the two teams fare in their most recent five games in 2017/18?
Swaffham Town have won 1, drew 3 and lost 1 of their last 5 matches, which include: a 1-6 FA Vase win away at Stewarts and Lloyds, before losing 4-5 at home after Extra Time against Rushden and Higham United in the same competition. Swaffham then returned to league action, as they welcomed Norwich United Reserves to Shoemakers Lane (their most recent home game before this match) where they drew 2-2, with the fourth of these matches seeing them held to a 3-3 draw at Cornard United. Then, in their last match before this one, Swaffham drew 1-1 away to March Town United thanks to a Blackford goal despite Duarte being shown a straight red card for Swaffham.

Meanwhile, Team Bury have won 2 and lost 3 of their last 5 matches. The first of the five saw the Blues lose 3-2 at Holland FC, before a 6-0 home defeat at the hands of Norwich CBS, which saw Thomas sent off. Team Bury did break their losing streak, however, as they won their next two matches starting with a 3-1 home victory over Needham Market Reserves (thanks to a brilliant Benham header, a quality strike from Robinson and and a poacher’s finish from Tuwizana) and unfortunately for the Blues ending with a 2-1 away win at Halstead Town (which saw Paton and Westcott score for the Blues). Then in their last game before this match, they ended up on the losing side of a tight 2-1 defeat at home to Braintree Town Reserves, despite Tuwizana heading home Wigley’s freekick to give them the lead. Team Bury were supposed to play Ransomes Sports before this match, but it was cancelled as Ransomes withdrew from the Suffolk Senior Cup, giving Team Bury a walkover win to the next round.

The two sides are separated by 8 places in the league table, as Swaffham Town sit 11th in the table who have 16 points to their name, whilst Team Bury currently 19th in the table with 9 points to their name.
