Cup success for the Pedlars

Swaffham found their form mid week with a victory over Wisbech St. Mary in the Thurlow Nunn League Challenge Cup, Sary Rahma, Alex Vincent and David Weaver-Pope all finding the back of the net for the 3-1 victory.

Further success at the weekend, a four one win away to Cambridgeshire's Huntingdon Town in the Buildbase FA Vase competition.

A brace a piece for Alex Vincent and Jack Defty ensuring a slot in the next round to be played 22 October.

Vincent crossing from the left for Defty to knock in at the front post in the 22nd minute, before scoring himself five minutes before half time.

The home-side getting one back ten minutes into the second half, Defty brought down three minutes later and Vincent converting the penalty.

Defty putting the match to bed five minutes from normal time confirming a place in the next round. The Pedlars are back in action next Saturday, an away League fixture at Wivenhoe Town. Many thanks to the travelling support at the weekend, the team benefiting from the twelth man on the touchline.

The Reserves had a thrilling four four battle back at Shoemakers Lane, goals from Joseph Porter, Mark Allibone and Kurtis Calaby (2) enough to retain a point after trailling for most of the game, Norwich CEYMS the visitors. Next weekend they are at home to Gayton United.

The Under 18's were at Aldiss Park mid week and despite playing most of the entertaining football, went down 2-1. Matthew Blackford getting the Pedlars goal. Thursday they are at home to Sheringham, kick off 7.45pm.
