Kettering Town Women were making their first visit to Carnarvon Street for the first round of the League Cup, and, sadly for the home side, they went away with the win and progressed into the next round with a comfortable 6-1 win.
The first half was a close affair with the visitors going in at the break leading by a single goal, scored in the 15th minute.
There were two goals at the start of the second period. Firstly Kettering doubled their advantage on 47 minutes, and Teversal were awarded a penalty a minute later, which was duly dispatched by Chantelle McIntosh. 1-2.

With going out of the League Cup at the first round stage, Teversal FC Ladies are now placed in the League's Plate competition where they have been handed an away tie against Oadby & Wigston Dynamo Ladies of the EMWFL Division One South (date of this tie is still to be confirmed).
