Great game of Rugby with Tows nabbing the honour's

Very competitive game today against a much improved Long Buckby/Casuals side. An even first half saw Tows come in 12-10 down after two tries from Isaac and Macca and an unfortunate conversion bouncing off the posts.

Making a few changes in position, Tows had the better of the 2nd half and edged both possession and territory but couldn't quite be precise enough to take full advantage. Tows scored first to take the lead 15-12. Then Buckby/Casuals came back to after some pressure to take the lead 15-17.

The last 10 minutes Tows kept on pressure and the home side had to defend well, which they did. After a couple of chances for Tows which were held up on the line Tows had one last chance and took it very well.

Playing the ball down the line a great phase of play from Stephen B and Cassidy put the ball into Kit's hands who made an excellent break but was just held up on the 5 yard line. But Alex Williams was there on the shoulder in support and a cheeky off load from Kit meant that Alex just had to smash his way through the middle of the posts to score. Stephen converted to see Tows take the win 22-17 with the last play of the game. Phew!

A really good game of Rugby where we had to work hard for the win. Well done to all the lads and thanks for the hard work and sticking at it.

MOM: Kody Johnson - Not a bad little shift at 12 considering he has been playing at prop for the last 3 games. Excellent go forward and defense.
