A youthful Rowledge entertained Waverley in a low scoring but exciting match. Batting first, the visitors lost wickets steadily, except for Adrian Day, against multiple change bowling. R Gregory was the best of the Rowledge bowling, inducing wild wicket taking swipes from the visiting
batsmen. The final scoring shot from Waverley was a well cheered all run 3 by two batters totalling 122 years.
After tea Ryan Powell opened with a devastating spell of quick accurate bowling to account for 3 of the opening 4 batsmen for 21 runs and with support from Andy McPherson the home side struggled. Chris Eldridge and Marcus Brain batted well and although David Lloyd, sportingly batting at 11, farmed the bowling, eventually he could not stop the returning Powell from claiming his 4th wicket at the other end.
