Batting first on another baking hot day Westgate were in early trouble against the accurate opening bowlers Carl Weiss and Ian Betley. After 12 overs they were 31 for 4. The recovery was then led by Dylan Conroy with a mature innings of 85 n. o. from 76 balls with 7 x 4 and 3 x 6. He was assisted firstly in a stand of 56 by Sam Frith (15) and then by Jack Huntington (42 in 46 balls with 9 x 4) who helped add another 67. With further runs from Jacob Vaughan and Zak Buchanan the Westgate skipper, Andy Hill, was able to declare on 214 for 9.
An early stand of 25 proved deceptive as Dylan and Zak bowled unchanged for 16 overs to dismiss Holme for just 71 runs. Only 3 batsmen scored double figures - Paul Duckett, Richard Heron and Mike Wright - Dylan returned figures of 8 - 1 - 24 - 4 and Zak 7.3 - 0 - 39 - 5 and Westgate completed a comprehensive 15 points victory.
