A comprehensive victory for WHCC away to Crumlin, a side who hadn't lost at home for 2 years going into the game. After losing the toss, WHCC batted first with Tibbs, Vanos and Pearce all getting in to the 20s, but it was Nick Hogben (54) and Kristian Rogers (34*) who did the damage as WHCC racked up 225-8 off 45 overs. A very competitive total after a slow start on a difficult wicket.
A friendly slope and overcast conditions contributed to a terrible start for the Crumlin batsman. After being reduced to 28-7 at one point the home side managed to battle their way up to 130, largely thanks to Ross Joliffe who contributed 80 runs of their score and was left high and dry. Michael Richards starred with the ball returning figures of 6-30. The best figures for a WHCC player since Pete Teague bagged a 7fer in the 4ths a few years ago.
