During 2012 Wyke Rugby Club will be able to invite three players to any three events we organise over the year.
Heath L'Estrange, Nick Scrutton and Tom Olbison.
Bradford Bulls and Wyke are working hard together to build community links.

Player Profile
Heath L’Estrange
Squad No: 9
DOB: 21/05/1985
Height: 173cm, 5ft 7"
Weight: 88kg
Position: Hooker
Heath is a former Australian Schoolboy International – he was coached by Mick Potter - who began his professional career at Sydney Roosters. After three years at the Sydney Football Stadium, he joined Manly and was a member of both their Grand Final and World Club Challenge winning sides in 2008/9. Heath proved a big addition to the Bulls Squad and was rewarded when he was named Player of the Year after an outstanding first season with the club. A serious knee injury sustained against St Helens in May ended his season but both Heath and the club were delighted when he signed a new three year contract following the Bulls game at the Stoop in June last year.

Player Profile
Tom Olbison
Squad No: 19
DOB: 20/03/1991
Height: 185cm, 6ft 1"
Weight: 97kg
Position: Second Row
Tom is from Leeds and was a member of the Bulls Scholarship Programme before joining the club in 2007. He has made rapid strides in his three years at the club and was selected for the England Academy Tour to Australia in 2008. He made his First Team debut against Warrington in 2009 and has made steady progress, impressing everyone with his attitude and endeavour. Last year was undoubtedly his best for the club and he made 16 appearances before a foot injury curtailed his season.

Player Profile
Nick Scruton
Squad No: 8
DOB: 24/12/1984
Height: 183cm, 6ft 0"
Weight: 107kg
Position: Prop
England International Nick Scruton signed from Leeds Rhinos at the start of the 2009 season having made his debut for Leeds in 2002. He quickly settled into life at the Grattan Stadium and was a model of consistency in his first year at the club. After being somewhat on the fringes at Leeds, he played in all the Bulls 28 games in 2009, starting in all but six and showing just what he is capable of. In 2010 he was called into Steve McNamara’s England Squad, making his International debut against Cumbria but a series of injuries restricted him to only 14 appearances.
Nick was born on Christmas Eve 1984 and was brought up in Morley near Leeds. He began his career at Churwell Chiefs ARLFC before signing for Leeds Rhinos in 2000. He made his debut against Wigan in 2002, coming off the bench but at the end of that season he broke his leg in the Academy Grand Final.
That injury was followed by a fracture to his scaphoid and he was sent out on loan in 2004 to Hull to gain some game time. He actually scored a try for Hull in the game against Leeds at Headingley and made his England debut at the end of that year in the European Nations. In 2005 he began to become a regular in the Rhinos side making eighteen appearances off the bench and scoring his first try for the club.
2006 saw him further enhance his career at Headingley with twenty six appearances and he won the Yorkshire Evening Post ‘Shooting Star' accolade that year. Injury decimated his season in 2007 but he was back and appeared in the Rhinos side that won the World Club Challenge against Melbourne and the Grand Final success over St Helens. He has quickly settled into life at Odsal and last season he was rewarded with a call up to the England Train on Squad for the Four Nations.

We look forward to working alongside the Bradford Bulls and meeting these three players
