Torrential Rain Moves Cup Tie

By Chris Bessex

Saturdays game with Emersons Green switched to Manor Road

AFC Keynsham and Emerson Green have taken the decision to move the Norman Goulding Round 1 Cup tie from Blackhorse Lane to Manor Road, Keynsham.

Water damage to Emersons Green's pitch pre Christmas has not been helped by the deep freeze and this week’s heavy rain. The Blackhorse Lane grounds man only gave the game a 50/50 chance of being played, leading to the switch.

EG have not played a home fixture since they thrashed AFC Keynsham 7-2 on the 13th November 2010.

Manor Roads ground staff are looking to inspect the pitch at lunchtime Friday.
