Hemel 31 - 0 BERFC

The day after The Lord Mayor's show.

A bright and sunny morning as the U14s kicked off their County PLate campaign at Hemel Hempstead.

The boys seem strangely subdued - and it was no surprise when Hemel opened the scoring after 5 minutes.

The Barnet boys minds seemed to be elsewhere - were they still reliving their previous league victory against OAs - who can tell? There was a lack of bite and aggression in the forwards - and disarray in the backs with the ball being knocked on regularly.

Hemel dominated most areas, with the Barnet boys struggling to get to grips with the Hemel No 8, Fly Half and Fullback - and by half time the score was 19-0 to Hemel.

Two tries and a conversion in the second half took the final score to 31-0.

Hemel were up for the game and thoroughly deserved their success.

For the Barnet boys - a game to forget - but with the League nearing it's climax, a timely reminder that success doesn't just happen - 100% focus and committment is required in all matches.
