NLD Lose Out In Pulsating Encounter

The Senior Side entertained Cumbria at home at Mansfield RUFC needing a win to progress further in the competition.

After taking a narrow lead into half time the second half was keenly contested with the lead changing almost by the minute. Cumbria pulled away in the final 15 to record the win and move into the County Championship Semi Finals although the scoreline did not reflect how close the game was and the effort put in by the NLD boys.

In terms of our player he was cited as the standout player over both games and Rory the NLD Forwards coach express that " Josh has opened our eyes, we should now be looking at targeting him for England Counties next season on those performances”,praise indeed.

Lastly, thanks to the Buxton travelling supporters, it helps I am sure to see a friendly face or two on the side line, if you count Ryans face as friendly that is.!!
