CUP recorded their first maximum points haul of the season as the 1st and Reserves teams won their respective leagues matches.
The 1sts had a tricky match at Gamlingay United to contest, a team notoriously difficult to beat at home. A well set-up line-up and use of substitutions helped maintain a dominant performance for the majority of the 90 minutes to earn a 3 - 0 win, with goals from Jose, Dan and Mark Webster notching his first for the club.
The Reserves hosted their first match of the season, after 6 games in a row away, against Newmarket Town Reserves. Although they played some good football at times, defensive mistakes saw a 4 - 1 deficit at half time. An improved team performance and impact from the subs helped a stunning fightback to win 5 - 4. Ben Johnston claimed a brace, with Kenny, Kienen and Scott also on the scoresheet.
Training continues tomorrow night at the Cass, before Reserves are away at Bluntisham in the cup this Saturday - the 1st team no longer have a game due to Eaton Socon having two players in the Cambridgeshire league representatives squad.
