Chasetown started brightly and an early Peter Till chance forced the home keeper into a save.
Title chasing Witton Albion took the lead after 9 minutes. The hosts won a free kick near the byline and Rob Hopley powered home a far post header.
Chasetown deservedly levelled on the half hour after a period of pressure with Liam Holt nipping in at the post.
The visitors took the lead after a handball inside the box and Jack Langston converted the penalty straight down the middle.
Witton equalised just three minutes after the interval. Chasetown lost the ball just outside the penalty area and Karl Noon advanced and rounded keeper Curtis Pond to fire home.
Albion regained the lead midway through the half after Brad Bauress received the ball from Noon and curled it beyond Pond.
Chasetown were unlucky not to get a deserved equaliser with a Mitch Piggon header just wide in the last five minutes wile Ryan Wynter's header on target in the final minute was saved as Chasetown pushed for a point.
