Under 10 player signs for premier league club

By Jay Catton

We have received fantastic news this week that Daniel Malone has been successful during his trial at Stoke City and has been signed by the club.

This is fantastic news for the club and Daniel becomes the second under 10 this year to leave the club for a professional side following on from Jamie Nash also of the tens who signed for Wrexham.

A talented midfield player who since joining the academy has been very impressive in his attitude and work rate and all sessions and games.

We wish Daniel all the best during his time at stoke and again a massive well done to the player.

Daniel becomes the fifth players to earn a contract at a professional club in the last three years of the academy along with the following:

Alex Peters (Bury)
Thomas Bridges (Liverpool)
Luke Blizzard (Wrexham)
Jamie Nash (Wrexham)
Daniel Malone (Stoke City)

Where next?

Under 10 coach to step down from position We were saddened yesterday to hear the news that under 10 coach Leighton Sumner has had to leave the club due to ever growing work commitments.
Under 19s defeat Flint Mountain in NEWFA Horace Cup Our youth/reserve side progressed to the second round of the Horace Cup competition after a hard fought four two victory.
